Making caviar in Stardew Valley requires a few more steps than it might seem. Creating this artisan good requires a specific type of fish and a preserved jar. How to make caviar
Caviar is made by putting sturgeon roe in a preserves jar. While you can age any roe you obtain in a preserves jar, only sturgeon roe turns into caviar. There are two ways to obtain sturgeon roe, only one of which consistently produces it.
The first method is to put a sturgeon into a fish pond, where it will produce sturgeon roe semi-regularly. To build a fishing pond, you need to take 200 stones, 5 seaweed, 5 green algae, and 5,000G to the Carpenter, who will take three days to build the fish pond.
